Out-of-State Candidates
The process for firefighters outside the State of Georgia begins with filling out the online application below. Someone will then contact you to discuss your application.
All out-of-state candidates must successfully complete the Georgia Smoke Diver Qualification Test. For your convenience you will be given the option of completing the Qualification Test on the Saturday before the class starts. This prevents you from having to travel to Georgia for the scheduled Qualification Day. However, you do have the option of traveling to Georgia for the Qualification Day.
